It was 14 years ago (1997) when Jakarta, Indonesia hosted the 19 th SEA Games and shared joy with fellow participating countries and now Indonesia will be hosting the 26th SEA Games in Palembang and Jakarta, from November 11 to 22, 2011. As we are looking forward to welcoming all participating countries, we have been working hand in hand with the SEA Games Federation as well as International Sports Federation preparing the technical handbook for each sports agreed during the SEA Games Federation Executive Committee and Council held in Nusa Dua, Bali,last February 2011.

We trully hope to deliver each sport at te highest level possible for participating countries best athletes to display their talents. We also would like to provide the best service possible to ASEAN and International Federations (Afs/Ifs) to assist their officials in carrying out their functions, supporting the athletes, and managing the sports competitions and to also implement the rules and regulations of the AF’s and IF’s. Lastly, we will deliver our very best to fulfill all our obligations to the SEA Games Federation. With just over months remaining to complete our preparations for hosting the 26th SEA Games, we are pleased to present you with this Handbook and look forward to welcoming you all in Palembang-Jakarta in November 2011.

Venues
a) Competition Site, The competition will be held at Naringgul Hill, Gunung Mas Puncak – Bogor, Jawa Barat– Indonesia.
b) Training Site, The training will be held at Naringgul Hill, Gunung Mas Puncak – Bogor, Jawa Barat –Indonesia.
The training schedule for each team will be given upon the arrival.

Competition Disciplines
a) There will be three:
- Accuracy
- Race to Goal
- Open Distance
b) Every pilot must compete in all disciplines.

Medals in Every Competition Disciplines
a) Top 3 Male.
b) Top 3 Female.
c) Top 3 Nation Male.
d) Top 3 Nation Female.
e) Male competition & Female competition are different rankings (Olympic rule).

Equipment
Each pilot must equip with;
a) Gliders (passed LTF / DHV or internationally recognized certifying bodies ) can be used
(1) Certified gliders up to LTF 2-3 or equivalent can be used in this competition.
(2) Pilots are able to use the different glider for each disciplines.
b) Harness (certified to EN1651 and LTF09 or equivalent)
c) Reserve parachute (passed LTF / DHV or test certification body)
d) Helmet (recommended certified to EN966 (HPG) )
e) GPS.
f ) Shoes.
g) Radio VHF (2 meters radio) is mandatory either directly or through the team leaders.
Safety frequency ; 149.19 and Organizer ; 149.39
h) Mobile Telephones
All pilots must have a mobile phone that can be used in Indonesia with Local number.
GSM/CDMA phones can be used in Indonesia.
